As a practice we are working hard to improve the services we offer and to ensure we meet the needs of all of our patients.
Here is an overview of some of the changes we have made recently which aligns with patient feedback received:
You told us that you were not always able to speak to your proferred healthcare professional
Our Total Triage system provides much more flexibility for patients to see their clinician of choice, rather than being offered appointments on a first-come first-serve basis, with whichever clinician is in on a particular day. Our Triage form includes a question about who your preferred clinician is.
You told us that you loved our paper marbling workshop in July 2025
We were so pleased to hear this and are continuing to plan more learning sessions and creative workshops at the practice.
You told us that some of the information on the display boards was too small to read easily
As we update our noticeboards we are ensuring that any text is clear and printed in a large font size.
You told us that we need to make sure we support our patients who do not have online access
As a practice we are dedicated to ensuring fair and equitable access for all of our patients. All of our systems and processes are designed with this in mind, and in particular our triage system has been set up in a way which ensures our phone queues are kept very short so that any patients unable to complete an online request can call up and be supported over the phone in a timely manner.
You told us that having so many different heath apps, such as MyChart, Patient Access, and the NHS App is really confusing, and makes it difficult for you to manage your care online
We couldn’t agree more and we really hope that the wider NHS will move to support a single app so that patients do not have to learn how to use so many different pieces of software. Unfortunately, whilst we wait for this happen, what we can offer is clear advice about using the NHS App, which is the only app we recommend for managing your care with us. We run regular drop-in sessions and have specialist members of staff on hand to answer any questions you have.
MyChart is only used by hospitals. You cannot access your GP record via MyChart.
